Application to the Prof Donald Li Global YDM scholarship   

The Prof Donald Li YDM Scholarship aims to enhance access to the WONCA World Conference for young doctors from low- and middle-income countries. By providing financial support for conference registration, travel, visa costs, and accommodation, this scholarship empowers emerging healthcare professionals to engage in vital discussions, share knowledge, and expand their networks. Through this scholarship we strive to strengthen the global primary care workforce and foster the professional development of future leaders in healthcare. 
Three successful applicants will receive a US$ 2,500 bursary each to the WONCA World Conference 2025 in Lisbon. 

Requirements for applicant:

• Must come from a country listed as a low/middle income economy under the world bank classification;
• Must fulfill the definition of Young Doctor under YDM operational guideline --- those in family medicine training or in the first five years of family medicine practice);
• Must be an ACTIVE member of the regional Young Doctor Movement and get a supporting letter from the regional YDM lead.
• Must demonstrate strong enthusiasm and dedication to participate in the the coming WONCA World Conference and contribute to the development of primary care and family medicine;
• Upon completion of the conference, awardees will be required to submit a 500 words (A4 page) report to the YDM committee.
